GUNFIGHT AT THE O.K. CORRAL (1957)
Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas starred in this film as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. This was not the only film to portray the mythical Wyatt Earp of Western lore. This film is available to stream on Paramount+.
RED RIVER (1948)
Thomas Dunson (John Wayne) leads a cattle drivefor 14 years to its Missouri destination, but all is not smooth sailing as his dictator-like behavior brings about mutiny from his adopted son along the way. Montgomery Clift also stars. The film is streaming via Fubo.
TOMBSTONE (1993)
Talk about some wild west action,Tombstone is another film to ficitonalize Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) and Doc Holliday (Val Kilmer). In this film, Earp planned to retire quietly in Tombstone, Arizona, but his plans change when the outlaws he was famous for wrangling come back into his life. Sam Elliott also stars. A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS (1964)
Clint Eastwood stars as Joe inA Fistful of Dollars directed by Sergio Leone. The story watches a drifting gunman pit two rival families against each other in a town already racked with vengeance, greed and ego. The film is streaming on Max.
THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY (1966)
Clint Eastwood also stars inThe Good, The Badand The Ugly (1966) with Eli Wallach. Another one of Sergio Leone’s projects, this film watches a fragile alliance between two men against a third one create tension in a bounty-hunting scam for gold buried in a cemetery.
