Chosen by an international peer-review board among 523 nominations from 97 countries, Morphic was selected for its #innovation, #impact, and #scalability.In a world where computers have become essential for education, work, and civic engagement, they often present barriers for individuals with disabilities, older adults, and those with low digital affinity or literacy. Morphic helps bridge this digital divide by making computers accessible and easier to use. It is a free, open-source tool that provides: - One-click access to built-in accessibility features, such as text size, high contrast, and text-to-speech, via a simple toolbar (i.e., MorphicBar)- AT on Demand, a new feature that enables AT users to access their specific AT (and settings) on any computer they encounter and need to useMorphic is currently installed on over 10,000 computers across various institutions in the US and Canada, including universities, libraries, community centers, rehab programs, and job centers.This recognition is a testament to Raising the Floor's mission to create a world where technology is accessible to everyone. Illness hit me this week 🤒 , but I won’t let that dim how uplifted, motivated and inspired I feel after attending Next Tech Girls first in-person event last Friday 🎉 I find full time remote working very challenging at times so this event came at the perfect time! Thank you to the amazing women I met throughout the day - there’s an indescribable energy when you’re in these kinds of spaces connecting with others that you can relate to and most importantly growth with. I’m so here for it!💜 Thank you to the incredible teenagers I met - your passion, drive and confidence is incredibly inspiring. Please, do not let anyone take that away from you - it’s your superpower! 💪🏾 And finally, thank you and huge congrats to Emily Hall-Strutt for delivering such a wonderful event. The platform you have created for us all is invaluable, I can’t wait to see what’s next!A few of my top takeaways:- Revisit my personal brand and define my three key themes - I was pretty good with this in my previous career, but haven’t touched it since I career changed.- How to navigate feedback - is it relevant and essential for me to achieve my goals? If so, how can I use this feedback constructively?- Attend more in-person events - honestly, it reignited everything in me. I’m a people person. I love connection...Let's go! 💃🏾

We are sad and upset to see Women Who Code closing down. They have been an integral part of the tech world since 2011, yet it sounds like lack of financial funding has forced them to stop their amazing work. codebar is facing similar issues, and we really hope we can pull through. The tech sector needs diverse voices and workers to keep the technologies we build accessible and inclusive.
