GREG GUTFELD: DEI doesn’t bring Americans together, it divides us (2024)

So Senator J.D. Vance and Representative Michael Cloud have introduced a bill to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in the federal government. Hmm.

Twenty Republicans have already signed it, and it’s called the “DEI Dismantlement Bill.” The purpose of this bill is to end DEI training and revoke Biden’s DEI Executive Order, but don’t worry, you won’t be asking Joe how to spell DEI. That would take two speech therapists teaching him how to spell D and E.

Vance also said he would ban mandatory DEI pledges for employees and ban federal contracts from companies that adopt DEI policies. “The DEI agenda is a destructive ideology that breeds hatred and divides people between races…American tax dollars should not be used to promote this radical and divisive ideology,” he said. [and] This bill would ensure that doesn’t happen.”

Republican lawmakers propose bill to dismantle Biden administration’s DEI programs

Well said, JD. He can’t hear me. But smart people know DEI is racist, yet America’s most pampered bigoted MSNBC commentators tirelessly listen to it. If you don’t like DEI, you’re racist.

MSNBC, June 17, 2023: This is known as DEI, which describes an effort to change the culture of an institution, organization, or group.

MSNBC, March 28, 2024: At this point, it should be clear what DEI means, right? Yes, it means Black people… Unlike what they call the good old days, it’s no longer fashionable to be overtly racist in America.

MSNBC, April 13, 2024: What we’ve seen in the anti-DEI movement is a reframing of what DEI is supposed to do and the benefits that come with it: DEI is now literally being used as a euphemism for the N-word.

House Republicans target Pride Month with must-pass defense bill

Wow. So they’re saying that defining DEI is like saying the N-word. They’re almost right, but for the wrong reasons. DEI calls into question the quality of minority employees by focusing on skin color. That’s racism. But Biden doubled down on DEI in his Juneteenth speech. Ouch.

President Biden, June 2024: Old ghosts in new clothes are bringing us back: taking away our freedoms, making it harder for Black people to vote and for their vote to be counted, closing the doors of opportunity, attacking values like diversity, equity and inclusion, and, would you believe it, banning books about the Black experience in America, erasing and rewriting history.

What? What? Seriously? I don’t know. But trying to decipher it is like trying to separate conjoined twins when all you want is to f*ck the hot one.

Eliminating DEI is a good thing because fairness means equal outcomes regardless of achievement, ability, or effort. For example, let’s say there are a disproportionate number of black clarinetists in an orchestra. Fairness would be to give one of their seats to a less talented Asian. It’s as simple as Brian Kilmeade. But racists assume that fairness sounds like equality, so you think it does too. But that’s like saying bombs and ointments are the same. One can kill you, but the other can cure Larry Kudlow’s hot tub rash. Fairness is revenge for something that didn’t happen to you by punishing people who didn’t do anything to you.

Rutgers University professor says without DEI office ‘we can’t make meaningful progress’

DEI does not unite Americans, it divides them. It is meant to divide. It is degrading pilot qualifications, putting bigoted plagiarists as college presidents, and worse, ruining Star Wars.

Now, when DEI first started, people didn’t really care, but then it affected important things: job prospects, investment outcomes, health and safety. And yet, DEI continued. Why? It’s a question of whether to focus on the long-term goal of increasing company profitability by exploiting the survival instincts of bureaucrats with the power to choose, or on the short-term goal of retaining employees and promoting them faster. You see how it works: Hire incompetent people and you’re safe. Chase real metrics of success and you’re not safe.

No wonder DEI consultants have been the biggest beneficiaries of DEI. The job they created was to make the problems they created worse. It’s like having John Kelly in charge of excluding useless people. And thus we get things like, “Being good at math is racism. If you doubt you’re racist, ask for more money.” But DEI is actually a math problem.

First on FOX: New report calls for State Department to abandon “attachment” to DEI and “depoliticize”

Imagine you’re at a restaurant with a full menu and you’re told that you can only eat salads or lose your job. But after the first person in line gets to the buffet, only a few options remain. Meanwhile, all the other delicious food goes untouched. It’s the same with hiring. It shrinks the applicant pool. As the numbers go down, there are fewer options. And others who may be more qualified go unemployed. That’s DEI, but they tried to blackmail us into embracing systemic racism in the name of eliminating it. And our taxes funded it. Well, not Hunter Biden’s taxes. Just another reason I admire this guy.

So we are paying out of our own pockets to be racially segregated. This is like paying someone to put out a cigarette in your ass. Cigarettes cost $12 a pack. So kudos to Vance and Cloud for addressing this nonsense. This bill should be called the Taxpayer Funded Racial Reform Act, or ETPFRA. Sounds like something Joe Biden would say.
