Summer is here, and that means it's time to find your nearest pool and take a swim to cool off.
Here's a list of Milwaukee area pools, splash pads and wading pools, according to Milwaukee County Park. The two water parks, three deep well pools and two indoor pools are all staffed with lifeguards.
Cool Waters Aquatic Center-Greenfield Park, West Allis
Cool off at Cool Waters Aquatic Center in West Allis with the tallest waterslides in the county. The center also includes a heated pool, interactive water toys, volleyball courts, children's playground and café.
Here's the 2024 season hours:
- Water Exercise/Lap Swim (starting July 1): Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 to 9:50 a.m.
- Open Swim: Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sunday, holidays, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Night Swim: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission fees are $5 for lap swim. Open swim costs $8.50 for Milwaukee residents ages 12 to 59. General admission for evening swim is $7.

Schulz Aquatic Center-Lincoln Park, Milwaukee
You can zip down waterslides and float in the lazy river at the Schulz Aquatic Park in Milwaukee this summer. The center also includes spray jets, bucket dump, water basketball and a leisure pool.
Here's the 2024 season hours:
- Tot Time/Lap Swim: Monday, Wednesday, Fridays 10 to 11 a.m.
- Open Swim: daily, 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Night Swim: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission fees for lap swim is $5. Open swim costs $8.50 for ages 12-59. General admission for evening swim costs $7.

Wilson Pool-Wilson Park, Milwaukee
Swim laps at the Wilson Pool in Milwaukee in a heated, 50-meter, deep-well pool. The facility also includes a separate dive pool.
Here's the 2024 season hours:
- Lap Swim (starts June 19): Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- Open Swim weekends/holidays: 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. daily
- Open Swim weekdays (starts June 20): Monday to Friday, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Night Swim (Starts June 20): Tuesdays and Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission fees for open and lap swim is $5 for ages 12-59. Night swim costs $3.

Sheridan Pool-Sheridan Park, Cudahy
Cool off at the Sheridan Park Pool in Cudahy with a large swimming pool, flume slides, a water mushroom, wading pool and play area.
Here's the 2024 season hours:
- Open Swim: Monday to Sunday, holidays 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Night Swim: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission fees for open swim are $5 for residents 12-59. Night swim is $3.

Noyes Indoor Pool
Take a swim at the Noyes Indoor Pool with a heated, 25-meter pool. Open year round, the pool ranges from 3 feet to 12 feet deep. The facility also includes diving boards.
Here's the 2024 summer season hours:
- Lap swim: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 a.m. to noon
- Water Exercise: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 to 10 a.m.
Admission fees for a single visit open swim is $4.50 for ages 12-60+and $3.50 for ages 3-11.

Pulaski Indoor Pool
You can swim at the Pulaski Pool this summer with a heated, indoor pool that's also available for private rentals. The pool ranges from 3 feet to 12 feet and includes diving boards.

- Lap swim: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6 to 11 a.m.
- Water Exercise: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 to 10 a.m.
Admission fees for a single visit open swim is $4.50 for ages 12-60+and $3.50 for ages 3-11.

Splash Pad and Wading Pool rules:
Splash pads in Milwaukee County parks are free to use. All wading pads have restrooms and changing facilities, and are open when the temperature is over 72 degrees.
- Children age 7 and under must be accompanies by a caregiver age 12 or older.
- Children age 12 and older are allowed at the splash pads and wading pools if younger children are in their care or if the youth is accompanied by an adult.
- Children are required to wear proper swimming attire, and swimming diapers are required for all children who are not potty-trained.
