After double checking his and Sunwoo's luggage, Jimin carried it out of their bedroom towards the front door where Sunwoo was already waiting with his backpack for the plane, the now 10-year-old seemingly attached to Yoongi as he had his arms around the alpha with his head resting against his chest. "You got everything you want for the plane rides?" Jimin asked him. "Books, tablet, toys?" Sunwoo nodded, still not letting go of Yoongi. "Then let's go get loaded up in the car."
Yoongi called out to the other three pups, who quickly appeared from their bedrooms, as they went outside. Once Jimin and Sunwoo's luggage was packed away in the trunk, they took the 10-year-old to give his grandmother a hug and say bye--and to also get his birthday money from her to his excitement. Then they all climbed in the car and Yoongi pulled out of their driveway to head toward the airport.
"Are you gonna do any sightseeing in DC?" Hana asked once they were on the highway heading toward Little Rock, as the competition was taking place in Arlington just across the river from the nation's capital.
Jimin shook his head. "We're not gonna have much time between the competition and how early our flight is on Monday morning. Maybe next time."
After a 45-minute drive, they finally made it to the airport, the whole family going inside to say their goodbyes to Jimin and Sunwoo. Chan and Abby were already there, Chan with the studio's tablet to check off dancers as they arrived and Abby with Mina propped on her hip, the 40-year-old omega talking animatedly to the two-year-old about the airplane they were about to go on. They joined the other chaperones and the few dancers who had already arrived for the trip, and Yoongi immediately pulled Jimin into his arms. "Have fun and be safe." The alpha murmured.
"Always." Jimin assured him, pressing his lips to his mate's for a few seconds.
Once Yoongi had scented Jimin until he was satisfied, he turned to Sunwoo, pulling the 10-year-old into a tight hug. "I'm gonna miss my jellybean." Sunwoo giggled as Yoongi squeezed him. "I hope you have the bestest birthday even though you're spending most of it in airports and on planes."
"I will!" Sunwoo promised. Then once Yoongi released him, he hugged each of his siblings, Eunji the tightest.
Shortly after Yoongi, Hana, Hajoon, and Eunji left, Jeonghan, Seungcheol, and Minjoon arrived, Seungcheol carrying his and Minjoon's luggage. Minjoon immediately ran over to Sunwoo and hugged him tightly. "Happy birthday, Sunwoo!" The other 10-year-old omega exclaimed. "Eomma let me pick out makeup to bring for us to have makeovers at the hotel!"
Sunwoo's eyes lit up with excitement and he turned to Jimin. "Can we?"
"Of course." Jimin chuckled, reaching out to run his fingers through Sunwoo's hair.
At that moment, Jeonghan finished his goodbye kiss and scenting session with Seungcheol and turned to Minjoon. "I'm gonna miss you!" Jeonghan pulled Minjoon into his arms, hugging him tightly. "I can't wait to hear all about it!"
Minjoon hugged his mother back tightly. "Love you, Eomma!"
Eight hours, two plane rides, one layover, and a shuttle bus ride later, Jimin was opening the door to his and Sunwoo's hotel room. As usual, Sunwoo ran straight past Jimin into the room, dropping his backpack in the middle of the floor so he could go jump on the bed he was claiming as his own. "Let's call Daddy before getting ready for dinner." Jimin suggested, sitting on the edge of Sunwoo's bed.
Sunwoo immediately stopped his bouncing and scooted up next to Jimin as the 42-year-old pulled his phone out and began to facetime the alpha. "Daddy!" Sunwoo exclaimed as soon as Yoongi's face appeared on screen.
"Hey, Jellybean!" Yoongi smiled brightly. "You made it okay?"
"The hotel is so cool!" Sunwoo exclaimed, grabbing the phone from Jimin as he began to ramble about everything that happened during their plane rides and layover in Atlanta.
When the call ended, thanks to Yoongi needing to tend to Hana as her heat had apparently just started, Jimin and Sunwoo freshened up from their trip before heading down to the lobby to meet the others for dinner. They ate at the hotel's restaurant--on the studio's dime of course--Jimin making sure to inform the staff as soon as they got there of Sunwoo's allergy since he definitely didn't want to spend their first night there and the night before the first day of the competition at the hospital. After their meal--which included a free dairy free birthday dessert for Sunwoo--they headed back to their room where, once they were in their pajamas, Minjoon came over so he and Sunwoo could have their makeovers.
Jimin glanced over at them from his book every so often, smiling at their giggles as they attempted to mimic the makeup their parents and teachers did for their competitions. Then he checked his phone and decided it was time for the 10-year-olds to get some sleep so they wouldn't be dead on their feet the next time. "Alright, it's getting late." Jimin said, setting his book to the side and climbing off of his bed. "Time to clean up and for Minjoon to go back to his and his dad's room." Both pups whined and pouted but let Jimin help them wash their faces and walk Minjoon out of the room, watching down the hall to make sure he made it back to his own room okay. Closing the door and locking it, he turned to see Sunwoo already snuggling into his bed. "Did you have a good birthday?" Jimin asked as he walked over to tuck Sunwoo in.
Sunwoo nodded, lifting his head to get a kiss from Jimin. "Goodnight, Eomma. I love you."
"Love you too, Jellybean." Jimin pressed one more kiss to Sunwoo's forehead and made sure he was tucked in just as he like before turning the light between their beds off. He then climbed back into his own bed, grabbing his phone and turning the brightness all the way down so he wouldn't disturb the 10-year-old as he fell asleep.
